Poole fireworks go off with a bang

This weekend really did start with a bang as people everywhere celebrated bonfire night: The town of Poole went all out, holding the largest free firework extravaganza on the south coast, Sponsored by (local radio stations) Quayside and Wave 105. Lots of family friendly entertainment was provided, such as street entertainers Jamie Maidment, Dick Danger and Dominic, and much more like fire performers, jugglers, bouncy castles, children’s rides, a climbing wall and a junior disco.

Later in the night at 7:30pm, Bournemouth Carnival Band paraded down the Quay dressed as Batman, bringing their unique blend of music and comedy crazy antics to Poole Quay – super!
Live music was also provided by Samba Panashe and Celtic rockers Black Sheep, topped off at 8:00pm by a spectacular firework display.

As always, it was a very busy turnout and fulfilled its promise of being a wonderful evening.

    Hi Anni,
Myself, my hubby and our 3 boys were at a packed Poole Quay to see the fireworks. You reminded me I must upload my pics to flickr soon. Good luck with your blog. What are you studying at uni? Ces

Hello, I’m studying communication and media at uni and this is actually one of our projects for our web communication module! I never realised how much effort needed to be put into it and now have so much more appreciation for bloggers! I’d love to know what you think of my blog and if you think any improvements could be made to it, thank you, Anni
